Meet Coach Ray

Coach Ray Rivera brings over 20 years of coaching experience and a lifelong commitment to student-athlete development. A former football player at Humboldt State University, he uses his background in athletics and education to inspire and lead on and off the field. At Hueneme High School, Coach Rivera heads the girls' flag football and girls' wrestling programs. Under his leadership, the girls wrestling team has captured four consecutive league championships and produced CIF champions, including athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level. In flag football, he has helped grow the sport locally by hosting tournaments, building a youth pipeline, and creating new opportunities for young women in sports.
