Meet Coach April

Coach April Berry brings over 30 years of dedicated experience in education and athletics to the Redlands High School community. A 1993 graduate of UCLA, where she competed at the Division I level in both Cross Country and Track & Field, she has spent her entire career mentoring student-athletes at the secondary level.

Since assuming leadership of the Redlands Track & Field program in 2009, Coach Berry has established a culture of excellence. Under her guidance, the Girls Track & Field team secured back-to-back CIF Championships in 2014 and 2015, earning her the title of Inland Empire Coach of the Year for both seasons.

Beyond her success on the track, she has coached Cross Country for many years and was recently selected to spearhead the inaugural Girls Flag Football program at RHS in 2024. Coach Berry is joined on the sidelines by her husband, Ted; the two have coached alongside one another since 2009. Together, they have raised three children and remain deeply committed to the growth of youth athletics.
