Coach Tanya
Tanya is a career educator with over a decade of experience teaching and coaching, most recently working to formally build girls flag football programs in local high schools. She is also an active flag football player, with over 12 years of experience quarterbacking and captaining in various formats of women's flag football leagues (5s, 7s, and 8s).
Beyond playing, she is most passionate about developing position-specific skill sets and flag football IQ, helping girls and women alike find ownership and empowerment on the field. She believes that building the most foundational skills and understanding of the game is critical to players finding the greatest success in and love of the game. Born and raised in San Francisco and a lifelong 49ers fan, one of the most memorable moments of her career was the opportunity to coach girls flag football at Kezar Stadium.
